This endorsement is designed for individuals who hold the CWI or SCWI credentials who are looking to broaden their welding inspector credential. The endorsement focuses on the teaching participants to conduct welder performance qualification tests, and qualify a welder’s ability to perform specific welding tasks and consistently produce high quality welds that meet established specifications.
Individuals with the WPQ1 endorsement, are considered qualifiers and may conduct performance qualification tests that can result in certification in the AWS Certified Welder Program.
